It's October 12th! Not only are there 19 days until Halloween and 9 days until the Noise Tour comes to NYC, but it also Sam Miller's birthday! Because he is now 22 years of age, we can now take a look back at his journey through teenaged life to a adulthood.
Let's take this back to 2007:
The beginnings of Paradise Fears in Vermillion, South Dakota. Look how cute!
Let's move onto 2008,
Then 2009... (I have a strong suspicion that PF's photoshopping
and photo editing skills have improved over time.)
Diggin' the white suit, Sam. Totally cool.
Not as cool as your Twilight Interpertation in 2010, I must say.
This year Paradise Fears went on the Pretty Good Friends tour with Quietdrive and Rookie of The Year.
Then, of course in 2011 it's safe to say twenty year old Sam Miller was all grown up...
(he's the one on the right... ;] )
AND then the band went on tour with All Time Low
Along the way they did a bunch of house party's and someone just happened to record one of my very favorite Sam Miller videos.
this year was also important for the band because Sam started to add in the Sanctuary Speech into the set, inspiring a lot of fans. (It was also the first year I saw them and fell in love with their music, fun fact.)
THEN it was 2012 and Sam looked like this:
Paradise Fears went on FIVE tours this year, including their very first headlining tour! They made a video for their song Sanctuary! Seemingly non-stop touring can be rough...
That's why Paradise Fears made a video for their song "Home"
and now it's 2013, the band went on tours with headliners Action Item and The Summer Set, they dropped their CD Battle Scars, had their own Battles Scars Release Show Tour, went on tour with Parachute and just released Battle Scars Extended Edition.
But, don't worry with all of this work Sam did have time to quit the band and pursue a rap career:
But don't worry he's back now.
The lesson of this whole entire story? Sam Miller has grown into an inspirational, hilarious, handsome guy.
Happy Birthday Sam, have a good one and many more.
